Flirty, Springtime Portraits at Mission Trails Park

Mission Trails Regional Park | San Diego, California

I've been to Mission Trails countless times, since its one of the closest, easily accessible sport-climbing spots in San Diego, but I up until now I hadn't gotten the chance to actually shoot there. Of course while hiking up the hill, past waves of wildflowers and take note of distant, winding trails and plan out where I'd take clients...so FINALLY I got to put some of it to use. Heather + Jake are equal part flirty-sweethearts + pirate-badasses.

When Christian + I met them we became fast friends with a questionably-overboard, but mutual love of craft beer + Colorado. As a photographer, when you have genuine + wonderful people in your life it is near impossible to not shoot them...so here we are! Thank you two for being my muses + diving into all the silliness.

The session morphed from whimsical frolicking + creek exploring to dirt covered snuggles + frog hunting. There is rarely a moment with these two that doesn't turn into belly laughs <3
