Past clients...future clients...when I sit with you in a little coffee shop or brewery and our 30 minute meeting & greet has turned into a two hour hangout and I say "geez...can we please be friends outside of your wedding?!" I mean it. I work with the COOLEST freaking couples...and so yeah...let's actually be friends. I shot Katie + Forrest's adorable little farm wedding back in 2017, in Colorado. Everything about their day was sentimental, intentional + warm. Family, friends, vendors...who could tell the difference? But as much as I felt like a kindred-spirit, it was only a few months later that we moved back to San Diego. We stayed in touch thanks to Instagram, but there is definitely a fine line between those that you "follow" and those you keep in touch with. So when Katie reached out to let me know that the two of them would be road tripping down California in a little VW Camper (Um...adorable.) and wanted to grab a drink, it really just felt like meeting up with old friends. Sure...I hope that I get to photograph every inevitably-dope milestone for these two, but I'll also be hitting them up for Colorado brewery dates, whitewater-tubing and convincing them to move to Southern California <3 Now take a look at this adorable set from our sunrise shoot on the cliffs!
